Kettletown State Park
1400 Georges Hill Road, Southbury CT

Kettletown State Park in Southbury CT. A very nice park right on Lake Zoar. The lake is great for boating, swimming and fishing, with a nice little beach located at the SP entrance. Of course being a CT state park there were no hookups, but the price of CT SP's is still great at $13 a night. The way the park is laid out there is a lot of hilly walking since each "loop" was either up hill or down from the restrooms. But other than that, it was a great place. They have few planned activities, though when we were there they had 2 movie nights (Friday and Saturday) at their outdoor pavillion. We had bad rains so they cancelled the Friday night show, but the Saturday show was well attended.

I would recommend this park as a nice quiet place to get away for a weekend in CT.
